Marion County Youth Bassmasters

The Purpose of Marion County Youth Bassmasters is to promote and encourage youth fishing through education of fishing ethics, sportsmanship, fishing techniques, and conservation of natural resources. To fulfill all responsibilities we owe to our community, our state, and our society to help maintain natural fishing resources.

Lake Panasoffkee Write Up

Lake Panasofkee was very stingy this past weekend for the Marion County Youth Bassmasters. Still though, every Jr and High School team brought fish to the scales! Taking home the win on the Jr side was Colby Frazier and Carson Fulkerson with 10.01lbs! Carson also caught a 4.87lb Panasofkee Chunk to take big bass honors! This makes back to back wins! Close behind in 2nd was new comer Kyle Kelly with 6.56lbs and taking 3rd was Tyler Thurmond and Bowen Reeves with 5.5lbs! In the High School Division RJ Sanderfer fished Solo and secured the win with 11.22lbs! RJ also had a 4.73lb Panasofkee Hawg to take Big Bass Honors! Not far behind in 2nd was Bailey Craig and Nate Penuel with 8.78lbs and rounding out the top 3 was Gavin Kennemer with 8.71lbs! Next stop will be Lake Weir December 17th!!
